A very bad weather forecast promised us a very wet weekend, and most riders had a very wet ride to Wales on the Friday. A couple (and I am embarrassed to say that I was one of them) decided to go by car as the forecast was so bad. We did in fact pay a very high price for making this decision because the weather forecast was very wrong and Saturday was a beautiful day - sunny and warm - and we were stuck in our cars (albeit one had air con. and one was a convertible). The photos will show that 25 PCs set off for the ride on Saturday to the beautiful Welsh seaside town of The Mumbles. Here we were joined by three more PCs making a total of 28 - is this a world record for a PC800 gathering?? It may well be until September in California?
After a walk on the pier and some seaside refreshments all returned safely to the Country Park at Aberdare where we were all staying, and prepared for our evening social meeting. Everyone had a great time - even those in cages - and we
will all be looking forward to next year's meet.
