How can I force the trunk to stay open once released ?

Minor adjustments can be made at the special screw rubbers. Open the trunk lid, you'll see two screw rubbers inside the trunk lid. Turn and adjust the rubbers so that the trunk lid closes securely. The trunk lid should open after pulling up the release lever once. You should not have to hold the lever up. Often a 1/2 or 1/4 turn can be enough, they can be hard to turn at first but will turn eventually.
