The iPCRC Starved Rock Run, a
group ride from the Wyndham Gardens hotel in Naperville, Illinois to Starved Rock State
Park on the outskirts of Ottowa, Illinois involved 18 riders. This was a "ride to
eat", as there was a delicious buffet awaiting at the Starved Rock Lodge at the end
of the ride. Participants came from as far away as Oregon and Canada just to meet and eat.
Bill Drake served as our host, making all of the arrangements and ensuring that everyone
was welcome and happy. Hats (helmets?) off to Bill for a first class job.
The pictures here were provided courtesy of Todd Skar, president-in-waiting of the
Wisconsin PCRC. |

Jim and Frank give the buffet two thumbs up. The food was delicious and
the weather was perfect. |

The whole group poses for a photo. A cooperative passerby took this shot
so we could all be in the picture. Our thanks go out to this (brave) lady. |

The group prepares to depart Starved Rock. Good food, great stories and
new friends made the trip lots of fun. |

Todd consoles Jim on the loss of all of his bike's plastic in an
unfortunate overnight parking lot theft. Jim later admits that his bike wasn't a PC800. |

This one's for you, Todd. Thanks for sharing your pictures. |
